linear: sequential, operating consequetively (line)

non-linear: not in sequential order

interactive design: a philosophical planning system focused on human interaction

protocols: guidelines, rules, standards

communication: exchange of messages that contain meaning

hypertext: code used to construct basic web pages

syntax: pattern or formation of sentences or phrases in a language

sustainability: capability of perpetuation

strategy: formulated thoughts aimed on a specific goal

parameters: guidelines, syn: syntax, protocols

conversation: style of interface, facilitator of communication

scalable: capable of growing or shrinking in size effectively

instance: an individual object of a certain class. While a class is just the type definition, an actual usage of a class is called "instance". Each instance of a class can have different values for its instance variables, i.e. its state. An example that is cited to prove or invalidate a contention or illustrate a point

haptic: tactile, sense of touch

user reactive vs. interactive: human feedback vs human input

suspension of disbelief: literary or theatrical term for what is required of the audience in order to make a story(or any piece of art) work

affordances: obvious interface information provided inherently by the object to inform the user instantly

feedback: caused by reaction, information given from affordances

reasonable: opposite of unreasonable, fair

SPS: single person shooter, DOOM, Half-Life, Quake

RPG: role playing game, assume the identity of a character, narrative/ Final Fantasy
